We’re on tour in Scotland next week and these will most likely be the last Scottish gigs of 2014 (bar a hometown Edinburgh concert later in the year)…

The tour starts next Tuesday 25th March and for the first gig we’re back in Inverness at the Eden Court – a hometown gig itself for new double bass player Craig Macfadyen – before we head across to Plockton (my first time there) to play the Village Hall on Wed 26th March…that’s a BYOB gig, plus there’ll be a raffle of some kind to benefit the music school there in Plockton…

We continue on the Thursday 27th March by heading across the bridge to Skye and our debut concert there at Aros Arts Centre just outside Portree…then on the friday we have a good wee drive across to Banchory and our third visit to the Woodend Barn Arts Centre (I think 2008 and 2011 were the other two years we appeared there and it’s always been a great gig to play)…before we head down to Birnam Arts Centre on the Sat 29th March and finish up in another town we’ve been to before (where we played at ‘The Fiddle Tree’ club in the big old hotel there just over the road from Birnam Arts Centre) but not for ages…

Wed 20th to Sun 24th Nov Gig Dates: Ok, it’s the last tour dates of 2013 in England (there’s two in Scotland next week) and we’re not out on the road again til February so come down if you can as we return to Norden Farm tomorrow night (20th Nov) in Maidenhead, take in our first ever visit to Folkestone at The Chambers on Thu 21st Nov, head back to Basingstoke at The Forge on Fri 22nd (currently sold out but may be worth check for returns), head south then to Chichester for our first every one for Roots Around The World at Chichester Inn and finally go to Colchester Arts Centre to finish off on Sunday. The band are sounding hot and rockin’ after our 10 date Irish Tour last week and there’s some new material for album 6 in the set too…here’s the ticket and time details…

Southern Tenant Folk Union will return to Ireland for what will surely be another sell out tour starting in Co Down on Nov 7^th and visiting Counties Waterford, Dublin, Kilkenny, Cork, Kerry and ending on Nov 16^th in Limerick, taking in 10 venues across the country.  The tour is in support of our most recent album ‘Hello Cold Goodbye Sun’ released in Ireland in the spring and their fifth album to date which Q Magazine, amongst many others, awarded 4 stars.
